What Happens During Your 20-Minute Visit
This is not a sales pitch. It is a real mini-lesson and evaluation designed to help you (or your child) understand where you stand and what comes next. We have structured these brief sessions to respect your time while providing genuine value you cannot get from a phone call.
During your visit, you will meet with one of our working industry instructors for a brief on-camera assessment. We will run you through simple cold reading exercises, evaluate your natural camera presence, and discuss your specific goals. Parents remain present for all minor evaluations, and adults receive direct feedback on their type and marketability.
After the camera work, we take you through the studio for a quick tour and answer any questions about our programs. If we determine that The Playground is the right fit for your goals, we will recommend a specific class level and schedule. If we are not the right match, we will point you toward resources that better serve your needs.

Q: Should I bring my child, or come alone first?
A: Parents should bring the child who is interested in training. We need to evaluate the actual student to provide accurate class placement. For adults assessing classes for themselves, come alone unless you want a friend for moral support. If your child is under eight years old and very shy, you may observe a current youth class instead of doing the on-camera assessment.
Q: What should we wear and bring?
A: Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. Avoid heavy makeup for kids; we want to see natural faces on camera. Adults should look presentable but not formal. Bring a current headshot and resume if you have them, but they are not required. If this is for a child, bring proof of their age (school ID or copy of birth certificate) so we can discuss appropriate class levels accurately.
Q: Is this a disguised sales presentation?
A: No. You will receive actual instruction and honest feedback during these twenty minutes. If our programs fit your goals, we will discuss enrollment options. If they do not, we will tell you that directly. We only accept students we believe we can actually help. The assessment is complimentary with no obligation to register.
Q: What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
A: We only offer twelve assessment slots weekly because our instructors are working professionals with limited availability. If you cannot make your scheduled time, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer your spot to another prospective student. No-shows without notice may forfeit future assessment eligibility.
Q: Can both my teenager and I be assessed in the same visit?
A: We recommend separate 20-minute slots to give each person focused attention, but we can accommodate back-to-back bookings so you do not make multiple trips. Mention this when you fill out the form above, and we will coordinate consecutive time slots for your family.

Studio Address: 10390 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite #100, Los Angeles, CA 90025
Parking: Street and garage parking. Please arrive 15 minutes early to find parking and check in.
Duration: 20 minutes for the assessment, plus optional 10 minutes for touring and questions.
Ages Accepted: We assess students ages 6 through adult. Children under 6 may audit a class instead of the formal assessment.
