Meet Acting Teacher
DANNY GONZALEZ
Danny brings a wealth of experience as an actor, commercial performer, and dedicated acting teacher. His credits include national campaigns for Sprint, State Farm, Bud Light, Best Buy, and El Pollo Loco, as well as commercials for the video game RAGE featuring Blake Griffin and Fram Oil Filters with Jonathan Banks. Danny has a genuine love for teaching and enjoys helping students build confidence, discover their individuality, and have fun with the craft.
After building his career in commercials and film, Danny joined the Universal Studios team, where he became a familiar face to guests as the Chris Pratt-inspired velociraptor handler in the Jurassic World area. He then went on to perform in other areas of Universal’s live entertainment including work as a scare actor. Eventually moving to teaching and training scare actors for the famous Halloween Horror Nights. Danny now serves as an executive at Universal Studios in their corporate teaching and training areas.
A proud husband and father, Danny is excited to be back at The Playground, where he teaches both Beginning and Advanced levels. He is grateful for the opportunity to return to the Conservatory and share his experience with the next generation of young actors. And if you ever wondered about those boots—yes, they’re real! Danny is a proud Texan through and through.
