Nickelodeon Star Ashley Argota Leads Graduation Events for Prestigious Acting Conservatory

Gary Spatz and The Playground feted their 2010 graduates with a red carpet reception and graduation ceremony emceed by Nickelodeon star Ashley Argota. The event was held at the AMC 15 Century City. Argota, a 2009 graduate of The Playground, is currently starring on Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP.
Gary Spatz, director of The Playground, (http://www.theplaygroundlosangeles.com) has taught acting classes for children for over 20 years. He has worked with stars such as Dylan and Cole Sprouse of The Suite Life and The Suite Life on Deck, as well as Argota, who says “I think that The Playground is a huge part of why I got my role on True Jackson, VP. Without their help, I don’t think I’d be here right now!
The lessons that I was taught during my time at The Playground will be with me for the rest of my life.” Argota stars as Lulu on the Nickelodeon hit comedy True Jackson, VP. Spatz has also worked as the children’s acting coach on shows such as Roseanne, Everybody Loves Raymond, and The New Mickey Mouse Club.
The Playground is an on-camera conservatory where young actors can challenge and stimulate their abilities. The Playground is located in Century City, adjacent to the Westfield Shopping Center. Spatz founded The Playground in 2005 and currently teaches classes and serves as director of the conservatory program.
