Are your kids bored? Entertaining children can be a challenge with the ongoing situation at the moment. We had to be creative at these difficult times. Thankfully, things are slowly starting to go back to normal and some amenities are opening their doors to visitors. Below are a few ideas for fun activities for kids in LA.
Visit LA Zoo and Botanical Gardens
After months of being closed down, the LA Zoo, as well as Botanical Gardens, are now open for visitors. That means you can take your kids to see all sorts of animals including birds, mammals, and reptiles.
Of course, the capacity is limited due to safety measures and social distancing will be maintained. You should book the tickets online (but make sure you do that in advance) and give your kids a day of fun. Face coverings are mandatory!
Walk Among Spiders
That’s right! The Natural History Museum LA County Spider Pavilion is reopening its doors on October 25 so you can take your kids to experience a thrilling spider exhibition. Your kids can see fascinating webs and talk to educators about spiders.
It’s important to emphasize that the outdoor Spider Pavilion is open and there will be a limited number of guests at a particular time to facilitate social distancing. Visits will be allowed from 11:20 am to 5 pm. Tickets are $6 (free for members).
Have a Picnic
Do your kids love the outdoors? With so many places and playgrounds still shut down for the public, you and your kids can take advantage of the picnic areas around Los Angeles such as Vista Hermosa park. The area offers plenty of space for a fun family picnic while your kids can freely play around, take walks, and enjoy the outdoors.
