Open calls might seem like a long shot because hundreds or even thousands of actors can appear. In such circumstances and with such long waiting times and short auditions, it’s easy to doubt yourself and fail to show your best side.
In the acting world (especially in the heart of it-Hollywood) it’s not easy to get noticed. There are hundreds of talented actors and actresses auditioning for the same roles as you do. So how do you get noticed for auditions?
Needless to say, casting directors look for talent and charisma in auditions. But are there any special features they want to see that stand out that can land you a role? What kind of things do they look for in actors?
Most people have some degree of stage fright, which may be why they want to be an actor, singer, or dancer. Actors may experience stage fright when asked to perform in a play or TV show opposite a famous actor or actress, but singers may experience stage fright when asked to perform at a music festival or open air recital.
